All-

Considering Ocean View Villas for an upcoming stay... anyone care to offer some discussion on the operation: cleanliness, security, provisions for dive gear, etc?

Mr. Brown, Eden Beach Resort is the #1 Dive resort on Bonaire. Clean, friendly & staff is always trying to please their guest. Don't waste your time or money trying to find anything better. Mr Dickie, a local on Bonaire will try anything to steer you in the wrong direction. He offers free island tours during the day and a pizza party at night. He will try to hook up with you at the airport. Good Luck!
P.S. Use Wanna Dive for all your diving needs!!! They are the best!!!!!

Terry.. by what criteria have you judged that Eden Beach is the #1 dive resort on Bonaire? Exactly how long have you been traveling to Bonaire and what other places have you stayed at to make you such an expert on the quality of all the Bonaire accomodations? Who is Mr Dickie? Why are you such a strong proponent for Eden? I really find your postings to be highly suspect.

Vince, I'm sure there are many nice places on Bonaire. Kevin is a friend and my joking with him went to far with others. I didn't know this would cause so many problems. I will make sure I'm more serious in the future. We travel to Bonaire 1 or 2 times each year and really enjoy the island and the people. Only one bad experience. Eden Beach is now our favorite Resort along with Wannadive. Sorry!

Having stayed in many destinations around the caribbean, I am always looking at the pros and cons of the resorts. The best diving I've found in my 20 yrs. of EXPERIENCE has been off the shores of Bonaire. I do look carefully at the accomodations when looking on the internet and based on this and staying at various resorts, feel that other options have appeal. Change is challenging but can also be rewarding both from saving money but getting more than you bargained for.
Given that most serious divers eat, sleep, drink diving, who needs a resort anyway? Just make arrangements with Wanna Dive and sleep in their parking lot on the back of your truck.
Sorry my views fell on swimmer's ears,
Mr Dickie but call me Chuck

Seb, Please read close above. I said I was sorry!
It seems to me that some are out here looking for trouble. I'm not. Again, sorry!
How many times do I need to respond?

Depending on your budget, renting a house in Sabadeco or Belem would be my first choice. Contact Erika at Sunbelt rentals she takes care of everything. erika@sunbelt.an

I know from experience that the folks at Sunbelt run a first class operation. You will not be disappointed in dealing with them!

We have stayed at Ocean View Villas twice now and we have no thoughts of EVER trying anyplace else. Nico, a most gracious host runs a fabulous establishment, clean, quiet and only 3 units. It is very private and I would highly recommend it to anyone
