My fiance and I want to get married in the caribbean. We loved Bonaire when we stopped there on a cruise. We are considering Bonaire for the wedding in 2010. When would be the most reasonable time to go there? Is there a way to find housing for the 60 estimated guests; is there a large motel that we could rent out completely?

I think you could probably get a deal with Divi.
I spoke to them about organizing a trip for 10 couples and they were very accomodating. They even offererd with some event planning.
I think I saw that there are several wedding planners on Bonaire listed too, I'm sure that one of these can help you. Look at getting married on Bonaire. It has alot of info. you'll need.
I always thought that a destination wedding would be perfect at Divi because of the diversity of things available to those who aren't diver's.
Congratulations and good luck !

As you are not Dutch or Bonarian, and you want your wedding to be legal you have approximately 3-6 months of detailed paperwork ahead of you. The very best way is to engage a local agent to handle and file the paperwork well ahead of your intended day. This same agent can obtain the proper official to conduct the wedding and assist you in setting up the wedding and reception.

If you are intending to marry on Bonaire and then officially marry when you return to the states see Jack Chalk at Capt Don's... the wedding will be good for the duration of your stay on Bonaire...
