We are scheduled to arrive on Aug 24. Have considered booking at the Bellafonte. Has anyone had experience staying there or know any negative things about this resort? We are mainly snorkelers. Thanks for any info provided!

anna - it is a gorgeous place right on the water with a pier. It is within walking distance of several snorkeling sites. But it is off the beaten track, on the way to Belnem.
I was supposed to stay there on my last trip but got cold feet when i discovered there is no security guard on duty after 5 pm when the front office closes. Since many of the condo units were vacant, i decided it might not be a wise plan for a woman traveling alone to be that isolated and vulnerable. I canceled and booked elsewhere. When there is a higher occupancy rate, I will return.
You may want to find out what the projected vacancy rate will be during your stay. And how much isolation you & your husband want. It can be great for a romantic getaway. But if security is a big issue for you (as it was for me), you may want to speak further with the owners.

While I didn't stay at those units, I did pass them every day. Very nice from the outside. Quiet area, near the airport but quiet.

Vacany rate didn't seem to be too high judging from the lack of cars. I wouldn't be concerned about it.
