Has anyone seen the Divi timeshares since they have been remodeled? I understand that 85% of the units have been completed. We will be visiting May 31-June 14.

Does anyone know if the timeshares have hair dryers. I am so overweight with my luggage and Dive gear I will have to get another job to pay the shipping. LOL

They do have dryers, I think. I know the Deluxe rooms do. If not, they probably have one to loan you at the desk.

Hi, Terri, The timeshare rooms have had small hair dryers for years and I'm certain they will still be there for your visit. The wind works the best, tho! Just go outside and let the wwinddry your hair! Carole

Just back from 2 weeks in Jan. There has been NO new remodeling since last Jan. (07) when the new dressers and outside tables were put in. The new bathrooms and kitchens have supposedly been sitting on a dock for over a year. Now they say they will start after the winter season..yeah sure!

Stu

Hi, Stu! How was your trip? Was everything else at the Divi up to snuff? How did the cruise liners effect the waters at the Divi, if at all? Any sediment kicked up by the pod carriers? (I wish they would just go away and never come back to Bonaire).

We'd love to hear about your trip! Oh...how's my parrot buddy next door at Ludwig's house? I love him...lots of folks don't care for his talking and yacking but I find him refreshing and chat with him all the time. LOL. I know Ludwig keeps him covered longer now, too, so he is not as "active" as in past years. LOL. Carole

The Divi is still pretty run down. We had the timeshares, they did replace some furniture, but the kitchen was not up to snuff, bathroom needs to be redone it is very very dated. Rooms were not very clean, I found that I did alot of dusting and cleaning when I was there. But you still cant beat the location for shoppping and diving.
My comment about the cruise ships is ( they are damaging the reef at the divi) seems to be lots of sediment in the waters when they come and go. Hope they dont increase the amount of ships that come in.

Hi, Bev, I was afraid the big ships might affect the Divi's waters. Darn shame. I love the waters around the Divi.

We will be there in late May and no cruise ships are scheduled then...hopefully the damage is not permanent and the water sediment will settle down again and be pristine....I hope. Carole

Just returned from 2 weeks at the timeshare at Divi. Kitchens are hurting! Bathrooms are small, but usable. New furniture including a huge plastic plant. I would love to exchange the plant for some towel rods in kitchen & sink area. I enjoy the Divi very much. Can't beat the location & beautiful views. Wish they would keep up the maintenance. Most annoying to me was the mildew smell. I brought Lysol spray with me and was able to mask it.

Joyce
