In the planning stages for our 5th trip to Bonaire last week of May 07. All other trips found us staying at Buddy Dive but a general search has yielded a new place to stay...the Belmar Apartments. I am looking for comments from anyone who has stayed there to help me decide. I want the good and the bad and how to possibly avoid the bad. Thanks in advance for all your advice.

Also do a keyword search and you will find plenty of posts regarding Belmar. We have stayed there our last 7 trips and my wife and daughter should be getting there in an hour or two to begin our yearly holiday week stay (I'll be down Wednesday)...so obviously we love it there.

John..Belmar is a great resort & the location is wonderful. Really no bad. Wonderful seaside views.
Enjoy your stay.
I like Buddy's but must say I'm really a big fan of always trying new places to stay on Bonaire.
Experiment with different places & enjoy the differences!

We are planning our second trip to Belmar in August. We stayed there once before in 2003 and found the accomodations excellent. The house reef is fun, and the shallows next to the shore hide a host of interesting critters such as octopi/squid. A quiet, relaxing place to stay.

John, we just returned from our second stay at Belmar. The sunsets are spectacular from the balcony, as are the pods of dolphins we saw swimming by a few times during our stay. The people are all friendly and helpful. We haven't stayed anywhere else, so I can't compare, but we like everything about the Belmar, so we haven't looked elsewhere.
