We received the email newsletter regarding the winter specials at Sand Dollar and are considering that option. However, two years ago we rented privately at SD and were very happy with the more personal approach. Besides that the condo was awesome! We've stayed in other Sand Dollar units and they've sometimes been a bit 'tired.' Does anyone have a connection with owners who do rent privately? The cost difference was not significant but the personal interest in the condo was. The one we rented looked and felt like the owners lived there full time and had just gone away for our two weeks! We're still looking at luxury villas but do enjoy the convenience of everything at Sand Dollar so that's more likely. Comments appreciated...

Freda, I've rented from Alan an Joan Zale. They have a 2 bedroom right above the office. Screened in porch. Very nice, very clean, well stocked. PM me if you would like a link to their website or their contact information. Several other BTers have rented the Zale's condo as well.

We now rent from them every year in Feb/Mar. It is a very nice and spacious unit and Alan and Joan are really nice people.

And Joan, Alan's wife makes really great peach upside down cake...can't promise there will be one in the freezer!!
