I have been by this place a couple of times. Has anyone ever stayed there, or know anything about it? Their website is interesting.

James, that is the first place we ever stayed in Bonaire, must be about 13 years ago. We had a 1BR on the ground floor. Very clean, plenty of living space, nice little kitchen. I think we only used the swimming pool once, and at that time they did not have a dive shop on site. We were Bonaire newbies, for sure, and the downtown location was fine with us.

We also stayed there on our first trip in 1999. We enjoyed it -- except for the TINY bathroom. Only one person at a time could be in there, and we're not big people! Air circulation wasn't great, but the fan in the LR helped. Airco in BR was fine. Certainly clean, and the kitchen was fine.

Stayed for one night this year because we made a booking error. We were very impressed with the fixtures and fittings and we love Bert the on site dive master. Last Bite Bakery is just across the road too!!!.

Thank you all. We think we want to check it out next summer for my retirement trip. Oh yeah, did I mention I'm going to retire? LOL

We have stayed there several times and find the location very nice, especially since my wife doesn't dive and likes to walk while my son and I dive. It is right on the promenade and close to downtown, which is nice for walking to dinner, especially if I plan to have a drink or several. Bert is great at the dive shop.

We have also thought about staying at Sun Ocean front...... but we have reservations about truck parking. We only shore dive.... so having a parking spot near the apartment is pretty high up on our list.

There are 8 small parking spots inside the gated lot at Sun Oceanfront. You can put the small Hilux's in there with no problem. The newer bigger Hilux's can make it tight if there are several of them. We pretty much only shore dive anymore and in being there for two weeks, we only had to park outside the lot one time and that was because some selfish *&%^# took about 2 1/2 spots. Even then, it was only outside for about two hours. There are several spots outside the gate and are very close and you could pull in to load up your gear if you got stuck in one of them. The locked gate of the parking lot gives a perceived sense of security. Anyway, it works for us.
