Could someone please help us! This is our first time in Bonaire. We are arriving tomorrow 4/26/02 and we do not know where to stay. My husband is going to be windsurfing and I am going to be resting. Where should we stay? I will love to stay in a nice place, telephone is essential for us, since our kids are staying home and I will need to communicate with my family. A/C is a must, water heater, pleeease and the most important thing ROMANTIC AND FUN. Thank you in advance!!!:) HEEEELP!

I don't know if this will get to you in time.

Right near windsurfing you have Lac Bay Resort which can be arranged through the people at Kontiki Beach Club. Sorobon Beach Resort is a naturist resort and does not have AC otherwise it is beautiful.

Closer to the rest of island civilization but a straight drive to Lac Bay, try just about anything in the Belnem area. There are lots of oceanfront condos/villas as well as less expensive ones further back from the sea but within walking distance. BelMar, BelAir, and Bellafonte are oceanfront. Coco Palm Garden/Casa Oleander, The Great Escape, and Ocean View Villas are within walking distance of the sea. I've probably missed some as well.

Telephone is a tough one. I don't know who has them. Although you may find it more economical to rent a cellular phone while on island.
