We are considering renting a 2BR villa at the Plaza and trying to figure out the locations of major parts of the resort and gauge the walking distance. We have 2 children who will be enolled in the scubakids program and are wondering where that meets.

The map on the website is too small to be of any help.

Sue,

The map is vague, you can't read it. We were booked into a jr, suite and when we checked in we were suprise to learn we had been upgraded to a grand suite.

The jr suites are sort of in the middle of the resort, so they are close to every thing(resturants just across a 50yds walking bridge, dive shop50 yds the other direction, beach and pool 30yds away, parking area just outside the dive shop). The Toucan Dive also has lockers at the dive shop area with keys and also on the beach which are very convenient. They lock the locker bldg at 11:00pm so if night diving be sure to get your suff before that.

As I said we got a grand suite which was nice because it was really close to the beach, but it was one one end of the resort and the dive shop was on the other. We really didn't mind the 5min walk.
By the way, Toucans dive shop was great. they went out of there way to please!

I marked the pool, the parking lot, and Toucan Diving on the Plaza map so hopefully that combined with Dave's info will help.

Thanks. Does anyone know where the 2 bedroom villas are? What type of units are on the far left of the map above and what sort are the one in the middle of the resort, across the lagoon from the dive shop and what appears to be the main part of the resort. With 2 kids and dive gear, I don't want to be at the other end of the resort from everything we want to do. While I see where the parking is, are you able to drive closer to your unit to unload luggage & groceries?

We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Villa last Summer. Here is an updated map showing the location of our room. Hope this helps.

Hi,
I've been running the dive shop for nearly 6 years and the map still confuses me occasionally!

At the far left of the picture is Port Bonaire, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom condo's with fully equiped kitchen, it's own pool and subsequently a little more privacy away from the resort in general. As of August there will be a dive centre and dock there. ( We begin building in May.) The 2 bedroom villa's are just to the right of the "g" in Toucan Diving on the above map. They are a 3 min walk for the dive shop, or a 3 min drive round the perimeter of the resort. You can park outside your door to unload as there is a paking lot at the Villa complex that is not clearly marked on the map. The Dive lockers are indeed closed around 11:00pm but our 24hr security will be happy to open them up on request if you need equipment between 11:00 pm and 05:00am when they are usually opened. The AquaKids programme begins and ends at the Toucan Diving dock, so the kids are there to see the boats out and, if they are not having too much fun, they are there for the return. Contact me direct if you need more details at steve@toucandiving.com

Hi,
The Honeymoon suite is indeed overlooking the ocean. If you put yourself on the beach looking inland then it is at the far right of the beach front suites.
Let me know if you need more information.
