Does the Plaza resort (Toucan Divers?) have dive gear storage available for guests. This one of the things I liked at Capt. Dons.
Very nice to not having to haul your gear back to the room each day. Not the end of the world to do so...but nice not to.

Thanks,
Ross

Plaza/Toucan has small lockers for gear storage right at their dock area, and they provide a key for each individual locker. Typically 2 people per locker. Also a common area for hanging skins/wetsuits. Suggest requesting one of the upper level lockers so water from someone else's wet gear doesn't drip onto your gear. Only downside to the lockers is that gear can stay damp.

you also forget that the Plaza storage area is the main breeding ground for mosquitos on the island!

in addition to getting a top locker, I would try for one near the gate for that reason too. Scope out the numbers before your orientation, which is when they give you the keys.

I also have to caution...lockers are not always available. Two trips at the Plaza. First trip we got a locker, the second trip they were full and we had to haul our gear back to the villa. Not a real big deal because we threw it in the back of the truck and drove it back over, but in the spirit of truthfulness, you should know you may not be able to get a locker.

Thank you Sue and Tribs for adding valuable info to my response. Only portion I might challenge is that while the storage area may be a breeding ground for mosquitoes, I doubt that it is the "main" breeding ground on the island.

Hint on locker key, we use TSA approved locks on bags in travel and they double as a great locker lock.... If allowed by the resort. I agree the best locker set up I have seen so far is at The Habitat.

Locks are built into the doors of Toucan's lockers with no provision for adding another lock, i.e., no hasp or protrusion to use your own lock.
