I was wondering if anyone knows if Belmar has DVD players in the room. It's certainly not an important or necesary item when you have the ocean in your backyard, but I am bringing my niece with me, and she wanted to bring a few movies if possible. Just curious! Two days to go!!!

Anne, if they don't, you can rent one from the Great Escape across the street. I've stayed in unit #22 twice, but don't remember if they had one or not. Never even had the TV on in the living room!

Anne, I think it depends on the unit you are staying in. Contact Belmar management and ask if there is one in the unit you have rented. Some of the owners have put them in their apartments.

The Belmar has DVD players in about half of the apartments. Most of the rest have TVs with audio/video jacks, removed for blantant self promotion again A few have no player and no jacks, and there isn't much that can be done about those.

The advice was very helpful and given the convenience of the Great Escape, I really appreciated it. We had a great time and such a great view at Belmar that no DVD watching was req'd. Although I did stop by the G.E. and if you need good variety and like to catch new releases, they have an impressive selection.
