Hello everyone,

First post here. I'm thinking of going down for June and July, or most of them at least, and was trying to find an affordable place to stay that has a kitchen so I don't have to eat out often. Air fill-ups included would be nice, but not a necessity. If the place doesn't have fill-ups though could you recommend a good dive shop to check out? Thanks a lot.

Hi Jon,

It depends on what you consider 'affordable'. I stayed at Lagoen Hill last month & it wasn't too expensive and they provide tanks & a rental car package. It was a really nice place & the kitchen was fully equipped with a large fridge.

Blue Divers is quite affordable, with truck & tanks as well. The kitchen is quite small there, but there is an outside grill. The fridge is tiny. i think it might have changed hands since the last time I was there.

Another option is to rent a place, for this, check out the real estate companies.

All of these can be found by doing a google of the name of the place and "bonaire". or check out info bonaire.

Jon, go to www.infobonaire.com and click on accommodations on the right, then choose your price range. Once you've narrowed down some options I would suggest you post here and you will get a lot of feedback on those particular places :-)

I stayed at Lagoen Hill as well and found it very comfortable. The rooms were clean and private and there is a communal, clean pool. It is very close to the city, but just far enough to be away from the life if you wanted to. We were in a studio apt and I would suggest a 1 bedroom or larger to be more comfortable.

I'd check out Bonaire Town Homes --- I stay there each year for six weeks, and it's clean, comfortable, affordable, convenient and the owners are lovely. www.bonairetownhomes.com
