Know nothing about Bonaire except today driving back from ski weekend we decided we can't make the return trek to Moorea (there last month) this October that we were planning for diving (humpback whale season!!). So, the wife said 'how about one of those island right by S America?' I said, 'Bonaire??' and she said 'Yeah, that's it!!'

So, that is what I am starting with. Looks like Divi's, Eden Beach, BelMar are all nice. Prefer a stand-alone or duplex beach bungalow kind of arrangement. But, ground floor of a multi-story is still OK.

Also, what I can't tell from the sites I've found this evening is where is a better place to meet others? For both diver (me) and non-diver (her)??

Usually we would do a larger resortish place with private bungalows, but don't see anything like that.

Sory for the long post, but initial details cut downon wasted time later.

Hello Mike,

I know what you mean in referencing a resort with private bungalows. This is not available in Bonaire but there are great rentals of lovely seaside villas and houses.

Ann

so does Divi Flamingo but they are not with kitchens, etc. There are also places like Coco Palm that are not seaside but are quite charming.
