I have it in my mind that the high season (in terms of hotel rates and overcrowding) ends around the end of March, but maybe my recollection is faulty?

I believe low season kicks in on 16 April.

April 15 tends to be the usual date, but it might be later this year because Easter is April 17. I find that any travel time over/around school holidays (spring break, etc) is expensive.
