Good morning!

My name is Joao Paulo Franca, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I'm a PADI-certified Open Water Diver and I'm planning a trip to Bonaire, for 1 week in april, with my girlfriend and 1 other couple (all divers).

There are some places I would stay, like OceanView (everybody seems to love it there), Eden Beach and other. Everything is well documented for those, with many trip reports and good recommendations.

What I need now is a little more information about Lighthouse Beach Resort.

I read here in BT that unit #13 is a good one, but it is unavailable for almost the whole year.

I found this site - http://www.lighthousebeachresort.com - and began to gather information with mr Joseph DiBiasi. The unit that best fits my needs is unit #29.

Does anybody recommend (or not) unit #29?

Best regards,
JPFranca

LBR 29 is a unit right on the pool. we live in #21 and have been inside 29...it looks like a nice place. all places at lighthouse beach have advantages and disadvantages...and sometimes they are the same. you will be able to walk right out your door to the pool so that's nice...but you won't have the privacy that you'd have at one of the units that isn't on the pool. april should be pretty quiet there...our homeowners meeting is in february and a lot of the owners will be there for that but by the time april comes around most of the owners will have left and it will be pretty quiet. LBR is about a 10 minute drive to town. we have a nice beach as well as the pool. there is only one residence south of LBR on bonaire at this time so we don't get a lot of traffic noise (except for when the workers are going to and from their jobs at the salt pier (about 2 or 3km south of us).

the closest bar/restaurant is great escape which is 1km north and within easy walking distance.

you can dive or snorkel right off the beach.

HI JP, Welcome to BT. My wife & I own #13 and are familiar with most of the units at Lighthouse Beach. Pat's descriptions are accurate. #29 is nice. If you want any additional information about any of the units or other units that may be for rent click on my profile and send me an email. Gregg

Gregg and Pat, thanks for the answers.

Do any of you know what's the view from the bedrooms? I understand that the master bedroom has a terrace that faces the pool, but what about the other one?

Best regards,
JPFranca

jp, the other one should face north and have a view of the open area of the property.
