Hi! We leave for Bonaire in less than ten days--yippee!--and plan to spend the holidays at Buddy's.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I wondered if there will be a lot of other families during this time? Specifically, teens--we have a 15 year old who is pretty cool about hanging with his parents (as long as we are diving, of course) but still, seeing a couple of kids his own age probably wouldn't hurt.

What is the atmosphere on New Year's Eve? Any recommendations as to where we can take our son?

Can I say again how much I LOVE this board? It truly has been essential for planning our dream vacation!

Buddy's is a large setup. Very good for families.
New Years on Bonaire is very special. Things will be going on all over the place. Do you like fire works?
Enjoy.

Well, who doesn't love fireworks?

I'm assuming there are more families in Bonaire during the Winter/Spring breaks and Summer vacation than at other times.

So often when people say "families" though, they mean little kids.

We're staying at Buddy's also during the holiday. We don't have any kids, but my husband is a big kid at heart. Hope to see you there.
Jaymi

HI LAURA, WE WILL BE STAYING AT BUDDY'S BEGINNING JAN. 1 AND WILL BE BRINGING 15 & 18 YEAR OLD BOYS..... WHO DON'T WANT TO BE HANGIN' WITH DAD ONCE WE ARE OUT OF THE WATER.

WE ALSO HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS USED THE BABYSITTING AT BUDDY'S. OR, CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A GOOD, REPUTABLE BABYSITTING SERVICE. ANY ASSISTANCE THAT WE CAN GET WITH THIS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

THANKS

Hey Jaymi--hope to see you and your young-at-heart husband there!

John, unfortunately, we leave on January 1st, so looks like our guys will just miss each other.

It sounds like New Year's Eve will be a lot of fun--does anyone have any specific recommendations and/or experiences they'd like to share?
