We are considering these two villas - can't find any discussion of Maggie's Place on this forum. Does anyone have an opinion on either place? Both are in Belnem. We've stayed at the Belmar in the past - thought we'd try a house this time.

Maggies place looks very nice--we stayed next door at Casa Cia last year. We talked every day to the people staying there and they loved it. You can dive right out the back door.

Hi Carole, welcome to Bonaire Talk.

Maggie's Place is on EEG Blvd, in between Donkey Beach (the big public beach near the airport) and Bachelor's Beach (the little beach near the road to Sorobon). Hope that helps.

Maggie's Place is close to Casa Cia, which is located at 20 EEG Blvd, where we have stayed. What you need to know is that Maggie's place is close to the airport. If you are a light sleeper, the 3:30 AM KLM flight might wake you up.

I think that Casa Del Sol is further south, but I am not sure.

We've stayed at Casa Cia and the diving is superb. I have no idea how the entry to the water is from Maggie's Place.

good luck,
mare

We stay at Casa del Sol several times a year. It's right on the water and you can dive right out your back door. They also have their own beach with lovely sand and makes shore diving easy in easy out. We also see tons of things diving here. The place is lovely throughout. Totally updated with a security system and new windows that let in the sunlight--nice and bright in and out. I can assure you that you would not be disappointed here. Compared to Maggie's place it too is on EEG Blvd but further south on the road and much further from the airport and the turn-off road to to Sorobon, which means you have very little traffic going by the house compared to Maggie's and its simply more peaceful. If you have any particular questions be happy to answer those as well, but overall, Casa del Sol is wonderful. Moreover, Bonaire Partners is wonderful to work with. They are always there to help you out if you need it in any way at all.
