Last I heard they were. Maybe they are on vacation. Lot of locals take their vacations in Sept and Oct. The Regatta may have them backed up on answering e-mails. Give them a few days.

They dropped the address on infobonaire a year or so ago. If you used the address on their website, that should work.

I liked the place, good package price, great place to sit and watch ocean, lizards, birds, clouds. There is a phone at the communal kitchen so one could call a taxi, pizza delivery, etc.

My husband and I have reservations there in November and we received a email from them earlier this week.

Tim,
Black Durgon is definitely still open. My wife and I were there last month and returning in December. If you have not have not received an answer to your email yet send me an email directly and I will call for you.

Just arrived back and it looked closed to me. No lights, no sign of life in any recent time.

Kristen, you really can't tell much from the front of the property. I'm sure it is business as usual at the Black Durgeon:-)

Just got the Bonaire EZ News, and Black Durgon is offering packages, so they are definitely in operation:-)

Hi everyone,
I am Al's daughter, Rona. We are most definitely still open. We have been ironing out some near-fatal hard drive crashes and are catching up now that we have access to our email. I have already been in contact with Tim.

I wanted to thank Cyn, Andy & Dave, Jim, Vicky, and Mike for helping Tim and providing info on the BDI.

Hey Jim, my daughter and I were over there most of yesterday, carving and feeding the inside of our jack-o-lantern to those lizards you mentioned. They loved it and so did the iguanas!

Just for future reference, our current email address is: bonaire@blackdurgon.com - the other old addresses no longer work.

Please contact me if anyone has any other questions or are experiencing any other problems.

Kind regards,
Rona

Hi Rona,

Emily is such a little pumpkin herself, I bet you had a ball this year for halloween! Our group had such a great time in July interacting with her - when anyone shares their photos, half of them are of Emily!

I was curious as to why folks weren't getting responses from you, because it didn't sound like you! Those darn hard drive problems can be killers..... so I'm glad to hear your electronics are on the mend!

Say hi to Rick, Al, and Doris, and give Emily a hug from all of us! See you all next July!

Grandma Gail

Hi Gail,
Great to hear from you! How are the Turkoise Adventurer's doing??? Yes, halloween was a blast. We went trick-or-treating with some other kids through Town. Plus, the Inn has been "closed" this week and some of next for some family fun like swimming, playing, BBQ'ing and to do some repairs, etc.

We loved having your group here and when Em sees pictures, she says "look mom, it's the ladies!" She will be thrilled (as the rest) to have you all back in July -

I will pass your hello's to the gang. And we hope that you are enjoying your grandchild!!

Rona
