Yep, stayed there two times. The hosts, Esther and Menno are great. The diving (snorkeling in your case) is very customer oriented. The breakfast is not your typical big hotel buffet. You have to ask what you want. Esther will cook it for you in no time. The pool is nice and the hammocks are great for reading a book in the shade. DBV is located on the hill, so the constant wind will cool you down. They have special treats for their guests like the sunset trip and a BBQ. The price/quality ratio of DBV is very difficult to beat.

Hi Dave
Have just seen this so thought had better say a little. We arrived back from staying for two weeks with Esther and Menno at DBV this afternoon. The whole package is brilliant. If you can wait to book then hopefully by about a weeks time (perhaps a little longer) I will have put together a trip report about our two weeks. If you cannot then do not hesitate to book and then read the trip report later. You will not be disappointed.
Mike

Never stayed there (mainly because I'm a house sitting bum) but Menno and Esther are good friends and really really nice people. They will be our next host (unless of course I can wiggle out another house camp job) :-)

Hi Dave,

One more view on the Deep Blue View :-) It is fabulous--feel free to go into the keyword search thingie and read my trip report from last May! We absolutely loved everything about our stay there. We really enjoyed staying up on the hill---so nice and cool outside (and the rooms have their own air conditioning controls for when you feel like staying inside!).

Hope to read your trip report on your return!

Nancy

We have just booked a 2,5 week stay from October 19th till November 5th and are sooooo much looking forward to it! Don't think we'll be able to post a full trip report (as this is the start of an around the world flying trip...we'll be on tour) but you can catch the details on our website (where you can also read about the travel in Africa we have done in the past 20 months by car): http://www.overlanders.net

Have fun (and I'm sure we'll have fun too in October on Bonaire...4th trip)

Bas and Ellie Noij.

Does anyone know of a place I could rent for at least 6 months to 1 year! I am taking time off from school to work and DIVE! I have been to Bonaire once for a coral reef ecology class trip during spring break 2005 and thought it would be a great place to spend some more time! After all, I am from MAINE...brrrrrr!
