Has anyone out there stayed at the new Den Laman Condos? I understand they are now open for business -- right next to Sand Dollar. I've looked at their website: www.gotobonaire.com/denlaman/index.htm and their rates appear to be very reasonable. However, knowing that you usually get what you pay for, I'm curious if anyone has stayed there and can get a report. Thanks.

Marvin Lowman

Marvin, I haven't seen a trip report about them. They just opened I believe, they do look very nice though!

We stayed at the Sand Dollar Aug 5-13. We will not return there, due to the poor condition of the units. We really enjoyed Bonaire Dive and Adventure, which is between Sand Dollar and Den Laman. We talked to a family that had stayed at the Sand Dollar the year before and decided to try Den Laman. They said they preferred Den Laman. For one thing it is brand new, and it is right next to the dive pier for Bonaire Dive and Adventure. Couln't be more convenient.

We have stayed at Den Laman two times this year in May and September.
To our opinion it is more then value for money. Spacious rooms, spectacular views (depending on the type of room you choose) and well furnished and everything you need for a pleasant stay, cable TV, DVD player with Dolby, phone and Internet. The rooms are fully air-conditioned, we had two different oceanfront rooms but both were super.
It is also very handy to have a dive shop a photo shop and a restaurant in the same building.
Hilde the supervisor there is very friendly and always willing to help or answer any question.
We are planning to go back to Bonaire again in May and we will for sure stay at Den Laman again.
