Which budget place would you recommend to stay while in Bonaire?

I love Bonaire Town Homes: www.bonairetownhomes.com

Benny and Ester, the owners, are delightful and run a great budget, clean, comfortable operation. I'll be there for six weeks next year (our 7th stay), and I wouldn't even think about staying elsewhere!

I would pick the Tropicana Apartments. For the price they offer the most room and are close to town and the water. There are other places in the same price range or a little cheaper. But none of them that I've checked out are as roomy or nice.

Don't know if you are a diver or snorkeler but Black Durgon Inn is an ocean front inexpensive place to stay in Bonaire. The diving/snorkeling in front of the place is fantastic. Here is its website.

I agree with June, been there-goin' back sometime. It's about a mile North of Capt Don's Habitat/ice cream store/grocery/2 restaurants/etc. Unless you're into walking a bunch, a car might be necessary. We were ok walking and the taxi stopped at the grocery store on the way from airport to Durgon.

Check out the Golden Reef Inn and Happy Holiday Homes. Both are nice, clean, inexpensive, and plenty of room.

Veronique, We have been to Bonaire many times and have stayed in most of the resorts on the Island. If you are looking for basic accomadations, clean with A/C and a well run diveshop then look at this url for the Dive Inn. Location is everything. Dive Inn is on the seaside with a great community porch with flowers everywhere! Kitchenette, cable TV, Bath/showwer. We stay in #3 seaside appartment and cook our breakfast in the morning and watch the sea waves as we eat. Front row seats evernight for the sunset,Unlimited air and a private storage area for night diving. Babs (the owner) has a dive boat and goes to kline everyday, she also has rental gear. No more crowded boats and the best part of it all she is 1/2 the price as the Divi in fact Dive Inn is located just north of the Divi Flamingo Resort. Just a short walk into town.

Good luck on your search... Ron
