We are leaving tomorrow, for this wonderful island, and with all the talk, I'm really excited. It's my first time, and we're staying at the DIVI. Does anyone know if we can request a floor before we arrive? We're staying in the STUDIOS. I've heard that the top floors are good since they are more quiet. THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!

OOPS ANOTHER QUESTION!!!! Does anyone know if the DIVI STUDIOS provide blow dryers? We are not renting from an individual, we rented directly from the DIVI, as part of the photography show package. I'm not sure if I should bring my own blow dryer. THANKS!

Hi, Nondiver! No blowdryers in the timeshare studios....the air outside will take care of that for you! LOL. As far as "quiet"...it is mostly very quiet at the Divi in general. We prefer the ease of getting in and out of the rooms to hit the pool and the beach staying on the first floor but to each his own. I don't think being on the second/top floor will make any difference as far as "noise" goes as there really isn't any and there are only two floors on the timeshare side...a total of 40 units split into an "L" shape with ten on top/bottom on each side.

The timeshare studios are not "fancy" but they are nice and I think you will be just fine! We love them. We are owners but even if we weren't we would continue to stay at the Divi on the timeshare/studio side.

You might want to bring some coffee filters with you and your favorite spices, etc. as there is a small kitchen equiped with fridge, oven/stove, blender, coffee maker, can opener, toaster. Microwaves are available for rent now, too.

I know you are going to fall in love with Bonaire and all that she has to offer. The snorkeling is the best in the world and the Divi is fabulous....you have the Calabas reef right there and need to go no further than the Divi beach, dive dock or tanning pier areas to enjoy the show of your life! It is like swimming in an aquarium!

Be certain to rent a vehicle ( a sturdy one) and take the good part of a day to explore and enjoy the Park up north. You can snorkel up there, too, or just stay in the vehicle and enjoy the Park...bring a cooler with some water and beverages and snacks or sandwiches and enjoy the day. Do not leave any valuables in your vehicle when you park anywhere....Bonaire is wonderful but it is just like anywhere else in the world..folks are tempted when they see goodies sitting in empty vehicles.

I'm so thrilled to see you are going with a photography package! How wonderful! I love photography, too. You will have a ball with the underwater and above water/land shots you will be able to take while on Bonaire. It is so much fun.

Please let us know how your trip goes, OK? Ayo. Carole

PS My husband and I are snorkelers, not divers, and we return to Bonaire year after year after year to snorkel and relax. It is heaven on earth to us. (A desert heaven...not like Hawaii...)
