Have any of the various Inns, lodges, resorts, apts, etc. announced or considered any alternatives for those travelers that will be arriving at 6:15 AM Saturdays on the Continental flight from Houston?

I have found Bonaire Partners to be very accommodating. Does not matter when you arrive, they will bend over backward to make your arrival very pleasant. Here is their website: http://www.bonairepartners.com/

Lorrie

We fly to Bonaire from Amsterdam and usually arrive at 3:30am, the good news is that the romm is ready for you and there are a few taxies running. The down side is that this also counts as the first night.

I know that Benny at Bonaire Town Homes meets his guests at the KLM flight in the middle of the night, so I'm sure he'd do that for other arrivals. He's just so very accommodating about everything... www.bonairetownhomes.com

Coco Palm Gardens always meets their guests either in person or arrange pickup with a very reliable guy from the airport - whatever the time (we ususally arrive at 3.30 am with KLM). Also, in low season, you are only charged half the rate for that night.

Per an email I received from Sand Dollar, they will work with you on early check ins.

And- once upon a time- Sand dollar was very nice about a late check in that we had.....our luggage took an unscheduled vacation (who knows where it went? This was 1997 I think) and by the time we got done standing in line to file- the airport was CLOSED!! And I mean, the lights were off and the last guy in front of us jumped into a car with his friends and took off! (They all spoke dutch so we couldn't even flag them- and their car was full.) And...no Taxis in sight!! We weren't sure what to do- it was our first time- luckily the maintenance crew (I guess) were locking up and took pity on us and took us in their truck- and they didn't even make us sit in the back- we jammed in the cab with the driver. It was pretty surreal. Luckily the night watchman at Sand$ had the key and THAT part was wonderful. Otherwise we were preparing to sleep on the chairs at check in- no one else was in sight.

Thanks all for such quick replies. Sounds like we'll be ok arriving at 6:30 in the morning. Hopefully we can sleep on our way down and do the orientation dive before settling for a leisurely afternoon.

All properties make arrangements for the KLM early arrival so the CO flight will be no problem. As said, since you would be checking in before 3 PM check in, you will pay for the night before. Some do not charge 100% but most do..to avoid this, check in after 3 PM or whenever regular check in is..piece of cake either way..another airline..that's the best news yet..
