I'm planning another trip to Bonaire for next summer and this time am thinking about staying at the Kon Tiki. What do people think about the rooms, service, food, scenery etc.? I know it's more isolated than the places on the west side but this time around that may be just what I want.

I can tell you the food is fantastic, and it is very quiet in that area. Got a flat tire there a ways up the road after a late dinner, drove back to the restaurant and the chef, who was locking up, changed it for me and refused cash.

But it's a really quiet area, and the food is great, that's all I can tell you. Haven't seen any accommodations there.

We were there last week. Although we did not stay there, we did go there for lunch one day, liked it so much we went for dinner the next. But it is open air dining, and those skeeters are out in force. Many restaurants are open air, so bring your bug spray. (Bet you knew this)

The location is a little isolated, but if you want peace an quiet...

I know that across the street is a small beach. In the distance is Jibe City.
