Hi, We stayed 10 nights at Buddy's in February and were not impressed. the left hand didnt seem to know what the right hand was doing. Poor management. When we first arrived we were given a room which we thought would be our room for the entire stay, instead they informed us that we would have to move after 1 night to Lions Den. This in itself was an inconvenience since we had made our reservations months in advance. Then when we got home we noticed that we were charged almost $200.00 on our credit card for services after we had checked out. They are still trying to figure this out. We would not return to Buddy's. Has anyone else had problems with them?

We have stayed at Buddy Dive seven times and feel that it is outstanding. Having to move to another room may be inconvenient, but is not unheard of; my guess is that the resort was full and they needed to do some juggling. If the charges to your credit card were in error, I'm quite sure that they will work it out. I've found that it's always a good idea to carefully check your bill at any hotel before leaving; mistakes do get made. I would suggest that you stay in touch with them via email to make sure that your card is credited if you were billed in error. Hope you otherwise had a great vacation!

Moved to Lions Den - which table did they move you to?

Just returned from a stay at Buddy's from 4/16 to 4/23. Everything was great from the pickup at the airport to the return trip to the airport. Everyone at the resort was helpful and pleasant. When one of our party was delayed getting to Bonaire, Buddy's had someone wait at the airport for 3 hours until they arrived. Dive shop people were great. There were two dive groups staying there also. When we were having trouble signing up for boat dives, the dive operations manager made sure that we got our boat dives in. A couple of small problems during our stay were immediately handled by the staff. We have stayed there before and will definitely stay there again.

Has anyone had any problems at Lion's since Buddy's took over? I stayed at Lion's last July, and am returning this July.

Darlene, I hope you have writen the same info you posted here to Buddy's to let them try an rectify the situation. I would also send it to the resort manager directly. Give them a chance to make you happier.
Right off the bat, I would want an explanation, apology, and reduction for having to move rooms after one day. They wasted a good chunk of prime vacation/diving time, and you should be recompensed for that.

Hi Darlene, it seems you may have got caught up in some glitches in the transfer of ownership from Lions to Buddy, which was going on exactly during the time of your visit. I can only imagine the incredible logistics involved in that buyout.

Also, you may want to re-check your billing statement, there are transient occupancy taxes chargeable on checkout (the dreaded TOTs!) which can get into the three digits (they did on my last stay!)
