Can anyone give some feedback on this resort? We're thinking of trying it in October...
Thanks in advance

Deep Blue View is a beautiful bed and breakfast with wonderful, friendly owners. The buildings and grounds are immaculate. The gardens are lush, the rooms spacious and tastefully decorated. The area around the pool where breakfast is served is lovely and inviting and the view over the island is terrific. If you are a diver, tanks are available, individual gear lockers are spacious, airy and clean and rinse tanks are large. Ester and Menno have a very classy operation! I have not stayed at Deep Blue View but was fortunate to spend some time there one afternoon in April while visiting a friend who lives on the island. Do keep in mind that it is in a residential area and you will need a vehicle to get around.

We spent a week there a couple of years ago, and it is really lovely. A nice quiet getaway place. Only one downside for us was the location -- while it's nice and quiet and the view is gorgeous, it's a drive to anywhere -- eating, etc. Other than that, it's perfect!

Did anyone dive there? How was the boat and/or shore diving?

E. I believe it is inland. It is not on the ocean.

Menno runs a great dive op. He only takes small groups on his boat, most of the time six or less. Departure times are very flexible. I can really recommend DBV. We stayed there two times.

Yes, it is inland up in the hills of Santa Barbara....not on the water, but it seems to be a wonderful set up with great hosts, etc. Beautiful views of the island from up there, too. Carole

We stayed at DBV for a week in February and had a great time. Esther and Menno are wonderful hosts; we will definitely go back. Feel free to email me if you have specific questions.
