After a long time of lurking in the background, I finally have a question I can’t seem to find an answer to. I am not a stranger to Bonaire as we have made a trip 4 times out of the last 5 years. We have always stayed at the Sand $ in the past. This year, the week of the 4th of July we are staying at the Lagoen Hill Resort. Although I have emailed them, I can’t seem to get an answer on what they have for security. We have never had a problem at the Sand $, but they do have security on the property.
If the truth be told we would brave pirates to be on the island, but I would still want to be prepared for the battle. If anyone can enlighten me on Lagoen Hill security it would be much appreciated.

My friend lived there Nov.- April with no probs...breezy and so mellow out there..

Dear Timoty,

All houses at Lagoen Hill are secured with iron bars inside the windows and doors.

Thanks for the responses. I am sure we will enjoy the accommodations and the diving as we have in the past. I will post a trip report when we get back. I can't wait to try the new Oly C8080 in the Ikelite housing, DS 50 strobe.
