Have been to Bonaire twice before and have stayed at the Sand Dollar both times. Foolishly never really looked at other accommodations. Don't need a kitchen on this trip, but a decent bar and restaurant would be a plus. Any suggestions?

Divi, Russell, always get my vote.They do have studios, but also have hotel rooms overlooking the water,2 resturants and a bar, 2 pools. Very casual.
Great dive shop and 5 or 6 boats. Right on Callabas reef and a short walk to town.
I'm sure you've pass it.
I think they have some kind of dive deals going. Check out Bonaire news.

Welcome to the board! I think it depends on your budget.

I think any of the waterfront properties is great! They all have pretty good bars and restaurants. I suggest you look at www.infobonaire.com, and select accommodations. That might help you too.

Buddy's, Cap't Dons, Bongo's (where the cams are), and the Plaza...can't think of any others right now...

Uh, Bongo's...is the bar and restaruant...Eden Beach is the resort ;-)

We liked Lions Dive Russell...you have soo many to choose from, hope we see which one in your trip report!

Russell, I was assuming you wanted waterfront...if you don't, then there are even MORE options!

Lions Dive was bought by Buddy Dive last year and the diving is now from Buddy Dive, the Lions Den is still there and the food is still great.

Buddy gets my vote. You have access to Lion's Den and Rum Runners at Captain Don's. Cook to order breakfast at the restaurant at Buddy's that comes with the package. And, you are a short walk to a small shopping center that has a grocery store, Lovers Ice Cream and Michael's Chat N' Browse.
