I’m looking for a place to stay the first week in Aug. I would prefer a one bedroom with a kitchen on the beach. If anyone has a private unit for rent please let me know.

although it's not on the beach, I love Bonaire Town Homes -- they do have a one bedroom with a full kitchen, just about a kilometer from the waterfront in town. We're on our way there tomorrow for our 7th stay with them. You can check them out at: www.bonairetownhomes.com

I second Josie's recommendation, Travis. Bonaire Townhomes is the only place we ever stay. It's quiet, and safe, and very very comfortable. It's not on the beach, but it's a very good value, and the owners are some of the nicest and most helpful people you'll meet on the island. We too have stayed there many times.

PS Josie: I'm jealous! Have a great time!

Hi Travis
Have a look at CocoPalmGarden; they have several apartments and studios (with fully equipped kitchens and nice gardens) to chose from. While not directly on the beach, they are only a 2-3 minutes walk from it (Bachelor's Beach). We have been several times and were always happy! Brigitte, Marion and Nikki will be happy to help find something for you.
Heike
