There are tons of places to stay, but as the saying goes, "if it's not broken don't fix it".

Since you know you like Buddy's, maybe you could stay there and "scout" out other locations for your next trip... if you like Buddy's you'd probably like Sand Dollar, Divi and Capt' Dons also.

Hey Mike - Bill and Donna here - see you're a PT - strangely enough we have a PT clinic near Brookwood Med Center up in B'Ham. We've been to Bonaire 4 times since Oct 2003 and will be back again soon. We love Buddy's for dinner and night diving, but we usually stay at Sun OceanFront Apartments - that has worked out very well. So when are you going back (and we're looking for a new PT - interested in interviewing with us?) By the way we're treating Antonio Langham at the moment.

We calculate that we have more than 150 hours under Bonaire's waters and there is still SO much more to see and do there. We are addicted to night dives at Buddy's (we've also dove at night at Oil Slick Leap, in front of downtown, and Margate - and there is always more u/w action at Buddy's and it is SO convenient). You might like our trip report from last October - we posted it in November I think - "Bill and Donna" or something with our names in the heading - here's the URL: http://www.oldbonairetalk.com/newsgroup/messages/1022/187400.html?1100019388 and it will tell you what was going on then without simply repeating what everyone else has said - we posted some pics back in July or Aug too - use the Bonaire Talk search engine. Sun Oceanfront has a very personal small dive operation onsite (gear rinse and storage, outside shower, tanks, all secure with your own key for those late night dives), has only about 12 units, and is run by the very personable Josie and Muys. There is a pool, BBQ, and you've got the ocean right in front. I really don't know the rates but they have a website and they are responsive to email. We tried Club Nautico but we're going back to Sun Oceanfront. It's also walking distance (1-3 blocks) from most of the good restaurants, Cultimara, ATM, etc. yet quiet (except during Regatta Week!). Liz and Ed Gnocchio's place - Golden Reef - though not on the water it is newly renovated, reasonable, and you couldn't ask for nicer hosts.

Antonio is on inactive status from the Patriots - can't really say anything else about him (patient privacy). We have our own incredibly busy and growing outpatient orthopedic manual physical therapy clinic - we're working on opening 2 additional offices soon, one with aquatic therapy. Maybe we should open a satellite office in Kralendijk! We're off to cayman Brac in 2 weeks for a change - last year we did 3 10-day trips to Bonaire and one to New Providence (Bahamas). We love diving together - husbands and wives are (at least potentially) the best dive partners. Do you dive any in the Gulf?
