Our family of 7 (6 adults and 1 child of 9) are looking for a one week stay starting on Dec. 29.
We want a beachfront property, 3 bedrooms, sandy beach, fully equiped kitchen. I am in contact with SunRentals and Joe at Lighthouse Beach. Any thoughts on other contacts? SunRentals has good properties but their deposit requirements are high, and their cancellation penalties are brutal. I have checked out Sand Dollar Condos also, but it looks like they are over our budget. We want to stay under USD 2000 for the week.

very nice accomendations--clean, safe, on the water, room safes, toucan satelite shop, full kitchenette, dive storage outside front door - locked, rinse tanks etc
If you go tell them I refered you - perhaps they will give us a discount when we go in May 2002. :)

another note - they are not actualy beachfront as you requested - however they are on the water with a dock in back with easy snorkle/dive entry. and rinse tank right there as you get out of the water. there are a couple of beaches within walking distance

It's a prettty long walk, but a great place to stay.

Helen, do you have to have 3 bedrooms? The condo that we stayed in at sand$ (alan and joan Zale's from the board) had 2 bedrooms and i THINK the couch folds into a double bed. That may work in your price range if someone didn't mind sleeping on the fold out. Very nice place and fully equipped with an ocean view. I am sure you have heard about the dive shop situation, but if they are operating even as they are now with someone working it we will most likely stay there again. beach isn't too big, but not bad and they have lounge chairs on the "boardwalk" on the beach end of the property. alan and joan are there now, but maybe when they get back (or chet wood if you read this) you can confirm the number of sleeping accomodations.
