Anyone stayed here; have any opinions? What is the beach like? One picture on their website makes the 'beach' look quite rocky. We're looking for a beautiful, sandy beach. Is this area good for kids (9 & 11)

Bonaire isn't really known for its sandy beaches because, for the most part (Thank God), there are very few. I think the Plaza resort probably comes the closest. We have stayed there the last 4 trips and although I do not have kids, I would say its a good area for kids because it is fairly secure. Hope this helps.

The beach area at Lighthouse is very small. There is a good pool. We have been in some of the units and stayed with friends for one night there. Our friends enjoy staying there and still do. How nice the units are depends on the owner. It is located south of the airport and you will need a car.

Hi, Corey...are there any steps going into the pool or are there just ladders? Thanks! Carole
