Hi Paul, Bob and I stayed at Punt Vierkant, Elkadia. We loved it. E mail me direct if you want answers to specific questions. How many are there in your party?

Hi Paul, Co-incidence! We stayed at Punt Vierkant 38 last Christmas, and will be at Shores 46 this year, so will be able to give you sensible comparisons in early January if that is of any help.
Punt Vierkant (aka Elkadia) is right on the water in Belnem, south of the airport, no pool but you have a step-ladder right into the ocean. About 10 mins drive into town. 4 bedrooms each with large ensuite, lots of space, furnishings "lived-in" but fine, kitchen older but fully functional, new washing machine (very handy!)

Shores 46 is North of town, maybe 12-15 mins? not on the water but close and with a view, and has a nice pool (checked it out last year, from the outside only; haven't seen inside yet!)

Hope this helps a bit...Feel free to e-mail if you'd like! I also have a few pictures of Elakdia if that will help I can e-mail them to you.
Cheers,
Jill

Paul, I haven't been to the others, but would wholeheardedly endorse Elkadia. I haven't stayed there myself, but dove with friends there and loved it. Maybe the Two Marys will chime in here with their opinions, too. But I loved it and would definitely stay there.

Hi Paul,

we stayed at Villa Dorado two years ago for five weeks. It is a lovely villa with a nice swimming pool. It is up on the hill, so you have no direct access to the sea, but you will have a nice breeze cooling you down and less mosquitos. The view from the porch is breathtaking.

Peter
