There are a lot of lovely kitty cats around Captain Don's, Lions Dive and Buddy's. Although they like people very much they also strike me as the type of cats who know how to catch a mouse and if you buy a pack of kitty biscuits (kibble?) they will adopt you for the duration of your stay.!

Just heard one of my rat traps spring. Took a walk outside to find that a 2-3 foot iguana was now in my roof (not injured by the trap - must have brushed as he/she went by). So, if it's not rodents, it's reptiles... :-)

On our 4 trips to Bonaire, staying in three different places, we've never seen a rodent or signs of one, or heard anything that sounded like one.

Had no problems with mice or other rodents at the Plaza, although two evenings produced what I now assume from Jake's posts to be cockroaches. I should preface this by saying we had *no* food in the room at any time, but the darned things got in there anyway. Keep the windows closed when not in the rooms (and doors) and hope the maids don't let too many in. :-)
