Can anyone tell me whether or not the Divi Timeshares have in-room safes?
Also, I note in one of the threads that the Casino is undergoing some construction...does this mean it is not open for business?
Lastly, does anyone know when the construction on the casino is expected to be completed.
Thanks.
Pag

The Casino is open for business. The construction is in the area of the old open air bar and patio. The jack hammers were for tearing down the pillars for the wrought iron fence and some of the paving. As of Oct 1 the noise had died down considerably.

Gregg, exactly what are they doing? Ripping out the old tiles on the ground to expand/blow out the casino structure to make it larger? No more outside bar? Hope you are able to relax on the pier....ayo. Carole

they have completed jack hammering the support posts on the perimeter of the outside bar area...now they are "sawing" up the tiled floor (cutting the tiles with a power saw)...looks like they are cutting trench lines for the new plumbing..once cut, they jack hammer the tiles out of place ... there is no more outside bar...one cannot relax on the timeshare pier...concrete pier is tolerable although the scenery has been shabby...

Can't help you out with the "scenery", Gregg!! LOL.

Boy, it really sounds like they are tearing the place to pieces...I want my trees back! LOL.

Sorry to hear the relaxation is prohibitive on the timeshare pier due to the noise at the casino. Stress....how can one deal with stress while on Bonaire??? Hmmmmm...maybe a Miller Lite while underwater?? Have to figure out a way for you to indulge in such a manner, Gregg!

Thanks for keeping us posted. Ayo. Carole

PS I'd rather hear the Bonairean jack hammers and power saws than feel the cold we felt this morning here in New Jersey....way to cold...40's already and only possibly up to 62 for a high today...."if" we're lucky.....wanna trade places??? cb

Carole,

I'll trade you now if you want...we got home late last nite...yes, a bad day in bonaire is usually better than a good day at home...the noise is all relative...as you know, the serenity of the timeshare area is very relaxing...when that is gone (temporarily), the timeshare area is just another place... we moved daily to the other pool and the cement dock

It should be nice and quiet for your next jaunt down there. When will that be, Gregg? I'm green already! LOL. Carole
