We are planning a vacation to the Divi Flamingo for the first week in November. I assume that if the dive dock was lost in the storm, that there also had to be damage to the deluxe oceanfront rooms and perhaps to other facilities.

Can someone provide a assessment of when repairs to the Divi will be completed, including what the resort plans are to replace the dock.

Enough of the south pier is left so they can load the dive boats. When the handicapped divers are not using the Alice H., it is tied up so its steps are available for shore divers. Some of the shore divers are also using the steps of little "cocktail" pier as it was undamaged.

In an e-mail dated 9/14/04 from Valencia White, Reservation Coordinator for Divi Flamingo in their Chapel Hill, NC office, she states "We've repaired the damaged pier and are replacing the lost pier. Everything will be back to normal in time for your vacation (Mid-Oct)
