Anybody familiar with security measures at HHH? Should I bring a baseball bat? ;-)

Just back from 3 weeks at HHH ending 5th August. Very pleased with accommodation - clean, spacious, good for eating in/BBQ, very helpful owners & friendly neighbours. This was our second time there.

They have a security guard at night and he was certainly very evident at 1am when I drove a friend to get the KLM plane. We followed advice and locked windows at night putting all gear away. During the day we left some gear out (generally by accident). We had no problems at all. Obviously impossible to guarantee as anywhere can experience theft but 'felt' safe. Have a good trip.

I would second what Ian said. We have stayed there 7 times and no problems. They added the night security guard several years ago, just because the owners wanted to make sure there was someone around at night. During the day, there is lots of activity with guests, maids and Louise, Kitty and Mel.

They provide you with a sheet with security suggestions - both in your unit and around the island.

As Ian said, no guarantees but we've never had any problems.

Joe, fully agree with previous comments. Just returned from our 8th trip to HHH. You will find it both quiet and as secure as any place on the island. However if you have been following recent events; caution and good common sense are always in your best interest. Hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip.
