Just curious if anybody has had any experience with Hamlet Bonaire. While it's a little too late to make changes since I've already booked my trip, I wanted to hear the BT's had to say about it. Good or bad experiences.....

If you booked at Hamlet, you would probably also enjoy the Golden Reef Inn. I know the owners personally and this is a new place, very nice and very clean ! Also, you would just love Ed and Liz the owners... just a thought. ;)

My wife and I stayed there for two weeks last May. We stayed in a two bedroom with a friend taking the other room for the first week. At the end of the week management closed off the door between the units and we had the larger area to ourselves. I would recommend against getting the studio, as it is basically a motel room with a hot plate and mini fridge. The kitchen in the larger unit is adequate, but just. No toaster, small sink, few plates, silverware, etc. As a plus, they do have a safe in the larger side of the unit. A great dive site just off the property is "The Cliff". I would probably stay there again based on the cost factor.

My family stayed at one of the Oasis cottages this July. The cottage had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The patio is good for drying cloths (but keep an eye on them) The entertainment value of the patio area is limited. We never had desire to sit here. There were AC units in both bedrooms that if kept on all the time manage to cool the living area (otherwise the living area is too hot for "living")Everything is in good condition, almost like new. Our stove however, did not work. All in all I recommend the Oasis cottages although the "villas" in front of the cottages and which are on the ocean are more luxurious (not all have TVs).
