Hi All, My wife and I are going to Bonaire, August 18th thru 25th, and staying at the Sorobon Resort. I appreciate all the info I have been able to get from this board in the last couple of months. It is very helpful to have such a wealth of information from you all who have such diverse background and interests. We presently reside in Wisconsin (16 years) and the Chicago area in a prior life time.

We are looking for a time share week at Lion's Dive Resort or Divi while on vacation. We will take a tour of these resorts and probably do some snorkeling and dining, yes - dining, while there. We snorkel, not dive, but may be converted over to diving after spending a week at Bonaire. Although I don't have any first hand info of this beautiful island, I will be doing some investigating into various resorts, car rentals, restaurants(seafood mainly), etc. We will probably go to the national park for a day. If anyone has any specific questions that I can help get information about or needs a picture of something (I have a new digital camera (actually three)and will be sleeping with them) please let me know and I will try to accomodate. I am a very amateur photographer but I try. We will post a trip report upon returning.

Tom

My husband and I spent 2 weeks at Sorobon last October and we are going back this October. I'm sure you'll find it one of the most relaxing vacations you've ever had. We found the best snorkeling right there at Lac Bay. The reef is a very pleasant walk through mostly waist deep water. You'll need to wear reef shoes until you get to the far raft which is where we put on our mask and fins. Bring a mesh bag to put your shoes into and tie the bag to the ladder of the raft that way your shoes won't wash away while you're snorkeling at the reef. We met many very nice people during our stay and I'm sure you will too. If you have any questions that I can answer please e-mail me and I'd be glad to help answer any that you have.
