We will be staying at the Sand Dollar in August. We will be staying with another couple in a 2 bedroom suite and was wondering if the bedrooms had a tv in them or is there just a tv in the living room?

Also has anyone rented a camera from their dive shop? Are they nice do they take good pictures?

thx for any replies

Hi Big Fic,

Welcome to BT!

I rented a camera from Tim at Fish Eye Photo (at Sand Dollar) in February and it took great pictures. It was a Sea&Sea MX-10 I think and I just snorkel so I didn't rent a strobe or anything.

Tim is great and his equipment was too.

If you want to see some pictures check out my trip report at http://bonaire-02-2004.tripod.com - not for the bandwidth impaired!

Bon Dia Brad! We do not as a rule have tv's in the bedrooms. A few of the owners may have added them to some units, but that is a personal choice and we only require them to be made available (with cable TV, HBO, Showtime and as of last year, a few US netword channels as well.)

Enjoy your stay in August - that is a great time to be on island as the water is nice and toasty - a great thing if you plan to spend lots of time in the water taking pictures! Tim Peters web site is http://www.infobonaire.com/fisheye/
if you want to see more information about his services!

I rented a Nikon from Tim at Fish-eye Photo for 24 hours. The camera was set for macro and I went hunting for seahorses. Tim changes the film. We went on 5 dives and ran 5 rolls of film through the camera in a 24 hour period. I was really fun. Tim is a real pro and runs a great operation.

Tim is a great guy to deal with. Last year he saved my camera when I had a minor flood.
