Hi everyone,

my girlfriend and I are going to Bonaire in November and consider staying at the Hamlet Oasis. I have some questions about the dive operation at the Hamlet:

Can we pick up tanks 24/7?
Do they have equipment storage lockers?
We love night diving, is the dive site entry at the Hamlet difficult at night?

Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Bernd,
Photo Tours is the dive shop at Hamlet. We have used them the last 2 years, but are not hard core divers, just one dive a day at most. They open about 8 in the AM and close at 5 or so, so it isn't exactly 24/7, but ask them, they are flexible, and sort of self serve. They have baskets in the back to keep stuff. We did a nite snorkel from Hamlet, down a ladder to the beach, easy entry. We actually got out via Capt. Don's stairs. There is a huge engine block near shore just S of the desalinization plant-fishies hang out in there. Diane Korzeniewski

Bernd, Being an owner at Hamlet oasis, i am especialy partial to the facility and PT... As Diane mentioned, email Photo Tours... I do believe that air is available 24/7... and yes they do have storage lockers... or you can rinse your gearn the outside showers and air dry.. and I suggest you bring it in at night.... no matter wear you stay.

I can ad to that. We have stayed at Hamlet recently! GREAT bunch of people (Lindert was wonderful). Non of them "Dive Snobbs" as I've seen elsewhere. Tanks are self serve 24 hours a day. They will tell you how to retrieve them after hours. Very small shop, but good fills every time. We were certainly NOT hardcore divers but ran into several that were at Photo Tours. I also liked their flexible unlimited plan. We only paid for unlimited dives on the days we dove more than once.
