Would like input from those who have stayed in one of these properties. I am very familiar with Bonaire, looking for alternative lodging for our family group next April. Thanks!

We stayed at Hamlet Sunset Villa in Feb, and March. I must say we enjoyed every moment. There is no doubt that the property is need of repair hear and there (slow drains, in need of paint, broken tiles in places, that kind of thing). It's hard to beat the location. VERY large patio, huge kitchen, many bedrooms including one with a private entry. GREAT diving and snorkeling down your private stairway to the beach. If you're not expecting royal conditions I would not hesitate returning to hamlet sunset villa. Just keep in mind, it IS a RENTAL HOUSE and it looks like it. Mr. DeJong is great to work with. If you stay, I can offer many tips on the house as well.

FYI: in the coming 2 weeks all necessary repairs will be done to the villa, like the windows and extra locks will be added to the downstairs rooms. Living room chairs will also be good as new. For any questions, you can always email me.

I would agree with all that Hazel said. Our group of nine stayed there in May for the third year in a row. The place affords a great deal of privacy. As with any property on Bonaire, lock EVERY lock before leaving. I expect to be back there next year.
