Which properties are you talking about? Your posting is about tank rentals.

If you are talking about Buddy Dive and Wannadivebonaire here is the basic info.
Buddy dive is located at Buddy Dive Resort, about 2 miles or so north of town. They have 2 places where you can get tanks 24/7, one on the water and the other is their dive through. It's a covered area where you can drive your vehicle into and swap tanks. The max distance you have to carry a tank is maybe 20 feet. Most tanks are AL-80 with some 63's. Both air and 32 or 36 nitrox are available at both sites.

Wannadivebonaire has 4 places you can pick up and drop off tanks. One down town near the City Cafe, one at their new hotel, Wannadivehut and 2 at Eden beach, located 1 1/2 miles north of town. At Eden beach, one is on the water and the other is in the parking lot. You can back your vehicle to with in 10 feet of the tanks. Tanks are available 24/7 here as well. They also have nitrox at the parking lot of Eden beach.

That what you wanted to know?

Paul,
Don't forget Sand Dollar. They have a drive up area. You back your car directly to it and get your tanks for shore dives. If you want to dive from the pier, a variety of tank sizes is available on the pier right where you suit up. Couldn't be easier.

Hey, do you mean to say that they actually have a 63 cu. ft. tank for smaller people? That would be great. and where does everyone keep their valuables while diving if they are not supposed to lock there cars?
please respond
thanks susan

In their hotel/rental room?
Seriously, there's not a big need to be carrying "things" with you. Your room is probably only minutes away no matter where you dive. If you MUST have some money, shove it in your BC - all the shops take damp money.

Oh, and I use 63's or 67's, usually - whichever I can get - they aren't as plentiful as 80's. Add the nitrox factor in, and you may need to be standing beside the divemaster as they're filling it to get a smaller tank. :-)

This is at Captain Dons too - Buddy's isn't the only place where the smaller tanks are available.

Susanf, I most heartily agree-there is no need to carry "things". We go on vacation to get away from having to carry or worry about "things".
susan stine, the only thing you need to carry is the car key and your room key. Both are on strings around my neck under my wetsuit. (Acutally Seb had the car key, I am the keeper of the room key.)

Thanks for such a quick response! everyone on this site has been very gracious with their advice and first hand knowledge. My husband and I are flying out tomorrow at midnight with 3 other people and this will be all of our first time to bonaire and one has never been in warm water before.
oh if anyone has been to the sand$ for tanks that would be good to know we'll be staying there. And I am not nitrox certified.
thanks again
Susan

susan stine,
Don't forget the water bottles, 2 per person: one to drink and one to rinse the salt off of your face with. We used emptied coca cola bottles and our trusty 24 oz water bottles.
Ratty towels in the car, ratty shoes, 'golfing' t-shirts -- ones with 18 holes.
Leave nothing in the car that you will miss.
Have a great time.

If you do insist on bringing 'things', park near the pink bus. The pink bus has lockers inside!
Have a great time.
