Hi,
can anyone of you tell something about the mentioned places? We're no divers but want to be close to the sea and the city. Also, we're looking for a place with atmosphere, not a big "standard resort" place.
Thanks/regards
Heike

As a repeat customer Coco Palm has my vote. It is a wonderful place, very small and personal.Wonderful garden patios, complete with hammocks! Bridgette and Marion will make you feel right at home. It's close the water and nothing in Bonaire is far from town.

Just a note, but if your interests are in beach style getaways without the "resort" environment, we'll rent your our place at Light House Beach Resort, It's two bedrooms - three baths front yard / back yard - BBQ - etc etc ocean view full kitchen - quiet etc - only thing is you'll need to
bring enough scraps home to feed the doggies from the neighborhood

First only as a short stop-over destination returning from Peru, Coco Palm Gardens and Bonaire have won us over and we have returned several times since. We too prefer non-resort type places and Coco Palm truly is different - individual, colourful, atmospheric, lovely gardens, hammocks and pool. The place is well set to explore the whole island but isn't far from town. There's lots to do on the island even if you are not a diver!
