My wife would like to know if there are hair dryers in the rooms at Divi. We are leaving April 1st for Bonaire. We look forward to meeting a few of you at Gibi's on Tuesday.

Martin, my wife would like to know where the picture on your profile was taken.

The picture was taken at Salt Pier, by my good friend Cecil.

Randy,

Tell your wife to forget about the hair dryer, the makeup, the nail polish, etc., and just go natural! After 20 minutes in the Bonaire breeze the hair is dry anyway. (Because if you do take the time to dry, style, and spray, after 20 minutes in the Bonaire breeze it's all undone anyway!) (But it did take me to my 4th trip to get that way!)

Not to mention that the hat she'll be wearing to keep the sun off will just give her hat hair anyways... :-)

The Divi timeshares do not have hairdryers. I don't know about the hotel side, but something tells me they won't have them either.

Everyone is right....you won't need one! Hair dries very quickly on Bonaire between the sun and the breezes! The water is wonderful and your hair will love it! (the sea AND the tap waters). Carole

I find covered elastic hair bands and sunblock and bug spray the "essentials" in my make-up bag.I use to carry all that stuff down and never used it. The wind blows softly all the time and I find just standing in the breeze does it for me.

I just returned last week. We stayed in the hotel side of the Divi and there was a hair dryer in the bathroom.

Sara, the question is: did you use it?

I must admit - I did use the hair dryer! (Is there an AA group for Bonaire hair dryer users?)When we'd go out at night, I'd at least start drying it a bit so I wouldn't look like a drowned rat 24/7! :-) No need to scare the good people of Bonaire!

Thank You Sara! I believe that is exactly the way my wife feels. Almost all warm water dive destinations are the same when it comes to drying and styling your hair. I mean what's the use, the wind is just going to mess it up again. Some folks do like to leave their room to go to dinner with the feeling that they tried.

Thanks for the chuckle Sara! I let the wind and the elements have their way with my long hair. At dinner, I wrap and clip and do my best but the breeze just loves to take little wisps to tickle my face with. It's a Bonaire thing and I've grown quite accustomed to it. I simply face the breeze.

We look forward to the hair dryers at Divi. If they don't have them we can always borrow one from Martin.

Randy, we all know that most stylish men (like Martin) blow-dry their eyebrows.
