Hi, me and my husband and baby are coming to Bonaire for a 3 week holiday. Around april/may. When I was young my family lived on Curacao and we often went for holiday to Bonaire. So I have good memories of that place!
We are looking for real good priced accomodations or even a house to sit. Does anyone have some information for us?

Divi Flamingo has a really good dive vacation deal offer, I believe starting in May, or mid April - after the high season ends, I got mine through contacting Caradonna Carribean Tours http://caradonna.com/caradonna/ I am sure others will have suggestions to compare as well. Good luck!

If you narrow down what you are looking for (close to the shore, how many rooms, with a kitchen or not) it would help those that can give suggestions, as there are so many options.

Go to www.infobonaire.com, and on the left hand side click on "accommodations." You can choose your price range, and the ammenities you like. Once you get it narrowed down to a couple, you may want to ask the board who has stayed there, and then they can give you their feedback!

Cheers!

Cynde

The only place that I can offer up as a suggestion is Happy Holiday Homes. I've also stayed at Captain Don's Habitat, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

My wife and I really enjoyed Happy Holiday Homes. It was very clean and relatively inexpensive. It was also quiet and outside town. The only drawbacks are that they are not located on the beach, you have to drive a little while to get back into town (still not that far, though) and they don't have phones in the rooms (at least, not when we were there).

Louise was a wonderful host and made sure everything was just right for us.

Regardless of where you end up staying, have a wonderful trip!

Michael
