I recently (12/21-31) stayed at the Eden Beach resort. I would highly recommend this property. The service was superb. The son of the owner Jose is extremely pleasant and very helpful. When he found out that the airlines had lost two full sets of dive gear luggage, he took care of getting us rental equipment until our gear arrived...at no cost. The room was a spacious two bedroom apartment with a kitchen large enough to cook your own meals if you so choose. Large refrigerator. Two bedrooms upstairs. A.C. not only in both bedrooms, but also in the downstairs living quarters which is a big plus. Most places have A.C.in the bedrooms only. Daily maid service. The beach there is fabulous. There is a very sturdy dock that allows you to do a giant stride right of the end and visit any of the three small wrecks that are a five minute swim from the dock. Coral life is not prolific, but fish life is and the wrecks are cool as hell. To be able to walk out of your front door and twenty yards later be at your dive sight was awesome. They have a beach bar (Bongo's) which is very popular on the island and also has good food. Wannadive is the properties "house" dive shop. The staff there is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They do not have there own dive boat on premises, but set up boat dives all through the week with a small boat they charter. Cost is $20.00 per diver for a one tank boat dive. They are very willing to give you advise on how to dive every sight on that island. Where to enter, exit, which way to head, you name it, they know it. All in all, I rate this place as better than any other I visited on the island, taking everything into consideration ( beach, dive shop, bar, rooms, service, etc.).
