Has anyone stayed there or know anything about it. We are going to be first time visitors.

Hope you like being around nakedness & watching windsurfers. Oh, and it's very breezy too.

In addition to Ruth's helpful comments, may I add... The Sorobon is perhaps the most restful place I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. No telephones, TVs, or radios. The onsite restaurant served us a wonderful wahoo with pink lobster sauce. Drinks are not expensive, and there is a happy hour. The beach is pure white and the ocean calm and warm. The wind is one of the best things, as it is blowing harder than most of the bugs can fly! Thus, bug free. Each unit has a half size refrigerator, hot-plate style stove top, and all dishes, etc. you would need. We usually cooked breakfast, snacked for lunch, and had dinners out. There is no hub-bub as found at so many other places. Any other questions? There is very little info on this site regarding Sorobon, so I will check in to see if you need more help. Go and enjoy.

Hi Tjsoros (?),

We have been there 2 weeks ago for 1 day. Sometimes you can come and stay for just a day for 15 dollars, when it's not busy.
We had a wonderful time! When you can afford it, just do it. Sorobon Beach has got the best beach from Bonaire. You can walk till your middle through the sea. When you walk to the reef (half an hour through the sea or by little row-boat which you can rent from Sorobon) you can snorkle the most beautiful snorklereef from Bonaire. It takes almost two hours to see the whole reef... oh it is so beautiful!!!! Go go go !!!

When is a good time of year to do a day visit? I have only been to Bonaire once (honeymoon) in April and they were full. I will be back next April and next August for 2 week trips each, should I give it another go or are those busy times?
