My friend I am going with made us the reservations. In all our talking, I didn't think of this....does anyone know if rooms at Divi have any size refrigerators in them? If not, can one rent one? If not, where is a good cheap location to buy a cooler on the island? I MUST have my Diet Pepsi in am, and it would be nice to be able to have other stuff also.
Friend has all the info at her house, I am running off to work, and friend is in Kenya for another week and I can't ask her! Thanks for any knowledge and replies! Ginni

Ginni,

Divi offers a variety of rooms..the studio rooms have a full kitchen with large refrigerator, stove etc (no microwave)

You can rent a small refrigerator from Divi for the regular rooms. I suggest you contact them thru diviresorts.com

I think the daily rental rate is $6.00 -- at least that's what it was when we were there in September.

Whew, thanks guys! Long as I can rent a fridge I don't care or mind! Makes life easier in a warm climate! Diet Pepsi (nectar of the gods!), a few beers (if they sell good stuff and NOT lite type garbage!) and some milk and fruit. Hooray!

Ginni in WI counting down weeks until I can go to a WARM climate and WARM ocean!

Ginni, try to get a hold of the resort directly ahead of time and see if they will "reserve" one for you as there are not that many little fridges to go around from what I hear. (on the hotel side). You have to try the Amstel Beer while you are there...it is not "light" beer by any means and has quite a kick and flavor to it! Lots of good choices down there, but reserve/request the fridge long before you arrive, OK? Have fun!! Carole

Are the studios located by the small pool near the Casino? Does anyone know if the rennovations to the studios are complete? Seems they are the lowest priced units currently available.

Hi, Ginni! Yes, the timeshare/studio units area the ones by the casino pool area. I would think that all of the first floor rooms are done now (rooms 701 thru 720) but not all of the second floor units, possibly (721 thru 740). We were there in May/June and they were finishing up the first floor units and beginning the second floor untis. Things don't move very fast on Caribbean islands, so I have a feeling some of the second floor units are still not completed. Hope this helps! CArole

We were there in Sept./Oct. Our unit 721 and our friends' unit 728 were finished. I think they're finished with the second floor.
Sue

Hi, Sue! How did you like the changes? I loved them except for the fact that we, on the first floor, could not lock the sliding glass doors from the outside porch area. Oh well. The new sliders are great, tho, and the view was so enhanced. Did you like it, too? Carole
