Can anyone give us info on what a studio at the Divi has to offer? Do they have a refrigerator, kitchenette, microwave, etc? Do they have a balcony or porch or neither? We have stayed at the Divi twice, but only in their hotel rooms. We like the resort, but are looking for a few more conveniences. Thanks.

Hi Steve, the studios at divi have just been remodeled. They have a fridge, microwave, toaster, sink, coffee maker, and small range. There is a king size bed and a sofa bed. The second floor units have a balcony that is screened. The first floor units have a covered porch and door that opens up towards the pool. Jeff

Steve: No microwaves in the studios; two queen size beds and one queen size sleeper sofa; toilet and shower in water closet space with bath sink in the "dressing" area by the kitchen. Both floors have screened in porches with the first floor units having porch doors on the screened in patio that lead out to the pool and dive areas. TV (no HBO or premium channels, however) and phones, now. Dishes and pots and pans and eating utensils for approximately four people. Both floors have back/rear door exits. Kitchens have full fridge, coffee maker, toaster, blender for making cocktails, etc. There is a wooden treliss (sp?) dividing the living area from the kitchen area. There is a table in front of the sleeper sofa and a big chair in that area, too, which is by the new sliding glass doors that lead out to the screened in porch area with a table, four chairs and a lounge chair, too.

There is also a clock radio on the dresser/counter top by the TV. Two closets with folding doors that open up and drawers in the full length dresser across from the two beds. The dresser is not that great for storage but the closets are good sized.

We love staying in the timeshares at the Divi. I will see if I can post some pics of the area a little later on for you, OK? Carole

Steve: I forgot the sink in the kitchen as well as the gas stove and oven...both mid size. Nothing fancy, but it works!

Shower only, no tub.

Carole

Right you are, Carole; I don't know what I was thinking. There isn't a microwave, I remember now that we had commented on that when we stayed there. And there are two queen size beds. Of all things I've ever lost, I miss my mind the most. Jeff

Carole
You might mention that the radio of has local stations only, which of course are not in english. The clock will never keep correct time since it is a 6o cycle clock on a 50 cycle system.
We'll be at the Divi Oct.16 to Nov.3
Mickey

Ah, yes, Mickey! We do unplug the clock when we arrive....don't want it and don't need it. We have our own CD player for music and don't want/need and alarm clock. (the sun can be your alarm clock if you need to arise early). Carole

Wow, Gregg...you lucky dog! No, we have to wait until next June 12 to be back on Bonaire. I wish we could be there for Xmas, too.

You are really clocking in some decent time this year, aren't you!!?? What's the tally of time so far this year for you? I'm green with envy.

Is/are the KLM crew still sitting under the new thatched chiki huts on the beach? They were just settling in there when they were built during our stay in May/June 2003. Carole

Carole,

fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how one looks at things, the KLM crews continue to commandeer the entire dock area....you have to get there early to get a seat

3 wks at xmas/ny makes 12 wks for me this year...that's a pace I'd like to keep going. If you've never done xmas/ny in bonaire, you should try it...its great

Don't know how you can stand not going until next june.... I am already looking for volunteers to bring Miller Lite to me over xmas holidays...

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, we're going to be staying Jan 24-31, and the Divi advises us there are no studios available, so we have opted for the Sand Dollar. Looking forward to our 3rd trip back to Bonaire. Thanks again.
